Abstract
Financial Well-being is very vital towards people as they are the key determinants on having a comfortable life and can be achieved by having a proper financial management. When the Covid-19 pandemic first hit, Malaysia is badly affected in terms of their economy which has led to a loss of employment among many Malaysians and negatively impacted their financial well-being. Past studies about financial well-being have been widely concentrated on determinants such as financial problems, financial capability and financial literacy. On the other side, the influence of financial behaviour towards financial well-being with gender as the moderating role were little explored. Therefore, this research studied on how financial behaviour is able to affect the financial well-being of Malaysians. This research also studied on the gender differences of Malaysians regarding financial behaviour and whether it has a significant influence towards their financial well-being. Quantitative study was chosen as the choice for this study by using online questionnaires in order to collect the required data. A total of 86 completed questionnaires by respondents from Malaysia were analysed by using Partial least squares structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM). Data collected indicated that financial behaviour have a significant association with financial well-being. In addition to that, no significant association can be found with gender on financial behaviour.
